I am a qualified science teacher with several years' experience both in classroom teaching and tutoring. I hold an enhanced DBS certificate and up to date safeguarding training.
I am passionate about science and I believe that science is accessible to everyone.
My approach is patient, calm and encouraging and I focus on building confidence and putting my students at ease. I want my students to feel supported in their learning and able to ask about anything they are not sure about.
I can break down complex information and provide scaffolding, so that students are able to access the high-level content that is required, or stretch and extend your knowledge if you are aiming for the highest grades.
I also focus on exam technique, so you know what the examiners are looking for in your answers and how to approach different question types.
I will work with you to discuss what you want to achieve from the tutoring and identify areas for improvement to create an individual learning plan.
